School Age

Before-and-After School Program

Our before-and-after school program provides care for children Age 5 to 12 years of age in a happy, club-like atmosphere where children are offered enriched learning opportunities in a fun and engaging environment. Our daily program provides a schedule that meets the needs of our community offering enrollment before/after-school in addition to summer breaks, conference days, school holiday periods, etc. 

 

In a relaxed and encouraging environment, your school age child will be provided with homework assistance by our caring and educated teachers. 

Summer Camp Program

Our Summer Camp Program offers field trips, art projects, theme weeks, and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Our informal and playful summer learning atmosphere allows learning to be “organic” during our short Adirondack summers. Our Summer Camp Director holds a degree in Physical Education and actively engages and encourages our students to develop an appreciation for living life well with active learning in the Adirondack Mountains. 

Field trip Activities include: 

  • Mountain Mist Ice Cream Stand 

  • Hiking/Mt. Baker/picnics 

  • Trail walks/Moody Pond 

  • Soccer/baseball NCCC fields 

  • Swimming NCCC 

  • Bowling 

  • Adirondack Carousel 

  • Public Library 

Student operated Lemonade Stand community service project

Summer campers learn how to develop a business plan, shop for ingredients, measure and make lemonade, count change, and make a group decision to decide on a donation to a local charity.
